We are a multicultural French language center and immersion French pre-school located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, New York. Since 2005 we have been leaders in progressive language education that is centered in arts integration, imagination, child-driven projects, and play based learning. If you are looking to expose your baby or toddler to the French language in a nurturing way filled with songs, stories, and art--look no further than our morning classes. If your child is a native French speaker or if your family is interested to learn French, consider one of our programs - academic, interactive, creative, hands-on, or theatrical after-school classes. All of our classes are enriched with our philosophy of nurturing the child and supporting them as they begin to explore, question, and create in the world with consideration of others and others experiences.

The high quality of language instruction provides an opportunity for children to socialize and to develop their language skills in the French language in a joyful way that ensures a lifelong interest and passion for language. We offer French daytime, after-school, and Saturday classes for children 6 months to 12-years-old. We are known for our small classes driven by child's interests and passions. Our gifted educators are native speakers with vast knowledge and experience in bilingual education as well as arts, math, and science integration.
For many years Brooklyn families who value progressive and play-based French education have sought out the pre-school program at LLS. Our program nurtures children and provides them with the building blocks needed for a lifetime of learning and critical thinking while exposing them to the benefits of speaking a foreign language in a supportive environment. Learning of many fields happens in French allowing for organic and natural absorption of the language. In addition we pride ourselves in creating an environment of inclusivity and awareness of others and many cultures and values.
French Summer Camp for children ages 4 to 10-years-old has been an anchor at LLS since 2007. Take the opportunity to immerse your child in French language and culture during one to five weeks of camp. Children will learn about and engage with the language through visual arts, sports, theatre music, science, cooking and more. Since 2015 French Summer Mini-Camp has been a wonderful way for babies 1-year-old to children 4-years-old to interact and explore in French five days a week alongside a caregiver for one to four weeks of summer camp.
If your child likes theater, wants to perform and act consider our French Theatre Class : Jeux D'Roles! Our Youth Theater Group is the five-time Grand Prize recipient of the annual international "Premiere Scene" student theater competition hosted by the Lycee Francais de New York! For French-speaking children with at least a foundation of the language from home, classes, or Dual Language Programs, the French theatre class is a wonderful way for them to build confidence and skill in speaking French while also learning theatre practices.
